The year 1992, should be written in golden letters because, for generating revolution in the field of education "Hindusthan Educational and Charitable Trust" was founded by an eminent industrialist & philanthropist Thiru T.S.R. Khannaiyann, Chairman, Hindusthan Group of Companies. The trust has been carrying out various philanthropic activities like extending financial support to rural poor students, providing welfare measures and providing quality education. The History of south India is replete with achievements of individuals who have an indelible mark on sands of time. One Such individuals Shri .T.S.R Khanniayann the started his career trading Electro Mechanical Equipment, Later he started the Power Transformers business and was very Successful .In 1992 The Hindusthan Educational and Charitable Trust was formed and the year 1998 saw birth of HICAS. Shri .T.S.R.Khanniayann is a man with vision wanting to do his best in the Services of humanity .He Believes that "Success in life is not determined by how we are doing compared to others but how we are doing compared with we are capable of doing ". He was awarded the "Best Entrepreneur" for the excellent services to youth and " Kongu Rathan "Adward for being an outstanding person in the services of humanity.
The trust has promoted a self financing co-educational institution, named Hindusthan College of Arts and Science (HICAS) in the year 1998. The trust runs the following Institutions:
