ANTIRAGGING COMMITTEE
The Anti-Ragging Committee of the college, established for the academic year 2019-2020, is formed in full compliance with the guidelines set forth by the Honourable Supreme Court, UGC, and the Government of Tamil Nadu. The committee’s primary objective is to safeguard the campus environment, ensuring it remains free from any form of ragging or bullying. Special vigilance is maintained during admission sessions, where new students are particularly vulnerable. The committee works proactively to prevent any ragging incidents and ensures that students feel safe and supported as they transition into college life.
Members of the committee remain on high alert throughout the academic year, making sure that all students are aware of the institution’s strict anti-ragging policies. Awareness programs, workshops, and regular monitoring ensure that students understand the legal and moral implications of engaging in ragging. The committee’s open-door policy encourages students to report any grievances or concerns regarding ragging without fear of retaliation, further reinforcing the college’s commitment to a safe learning environment.
Any student found guilty of ragging will face serious repercussions. In addition to criminal prosecution, disciplinary actions such as rustication, dismissal, and expulsion from the college will be enforced. The committee is unwavering in its efforts to maintain the institution’s reputation as a ragging-free zone, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect and fostering a culture of empathy among students.
