LIBARY COMMITTEE
The Library Committee is an essential body responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient functioning of library services at Hindusthan College of Nursing. By working closely with the librarian, the committee plays a pivotal role in formulating general policies and regulations that govern the library’s day-to-day operations. These policies ensure that the library functions effectively, serving as a valuable resource for both students and faculty, and remains a cornerstone of academic support within the institution.
One of the primary responsibilities of the Library Committee is to maintain and update the library’s collection. This involves providing proper documentation services, ensuring that new resources—such as books, journals, and digital materials—are added regularly to support the academic curriculum. The committee also conducts periodic reviews of existing materials to ensure relevance and usefulness, ensuring the library remains a dynamic and up-to-date resource for all users.
In addition to managing the library’s collection, the Library Committee also handles financial planning by preparing the annual budget and proposals for library development. This includes recommending fees and other charges related to the use of the library’s services. By making thoughtful recommendations to the college authorities, the committee ensures that the library continues to grow and adapt, meeting the evolving needs of students and faculty while maintaining high-quality services and facilities.
